Ok...so... I am reading my mental and behavioural health textbook and the assigned reading is heavy into disorders and diagnostic information. All nursing students suffer from hypochondria. Over thinking, over analyzing, over over over, yup. So keep that in mind when I go off into an odd mood tangent rambling thingy. :)
I'm just wondering if you get over this. I have hypochondria already, and I'm considering nursing school. I've been doing waaaay better lately using some therapeutic tools, but I've had health anxiety for years. I'm wondering if nursing school will act as a sort of immersion/exposure therapy, or just drive me completely insane. I really think my analytical mind, interest in the human body, and ability to remain outwardly calm even while going crazy inside can help me be a good nurse. What do you think? Will nursing school be too much for me?
